Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:

In this high-profile role, you will be the overall program leader for key engineering initiatives from concept to execution. You will work across all of engineering and business to meet overall initiative and/or product objectives

THE PERSON:
The right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management, an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated software/hardware programs, you will also drive a schedule for business planning towards growth that align to business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Leadership and Delivery: Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of key software development programs for key data center development programs, ensuring they align with strategic business objectives and timelines. Major responsibilities include define, plan and rive development program plans based on management and senior technical guidance.

Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams(ex: hardware, software, product development) to coordinate efforts and engage with internal and external stakeholders in product ecosystem planning, enablement, and test/certification activities

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear, concise and regular communication with stakeholders, customers, partners senior management, and cross organizational teams. Major duties is to ensure alignment on program goals, milestones and overall progress.

Performance Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators to monitor the success of programs, providing regular updates, metrics and insights to leadership on progress, roadblocks and resources needed. Must be able to tailor technical and strategic updates to different audiences and coordinate program reviews with AMD senior management, partners, and customers

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Proven Experience in Program Management: Minimum of 8-10 years managing complex, cross-functional programs, preferably within a high tech industry. Must be familiar with software development methodologies, defect tracking and visualization tools.

Leadership in Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication: Strong ability to lead and coordinate teams and excellent communication and leadership skills, both written and oral

Detailed Oriented and Adaptable in Dynamic Environment: Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring a high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency while navigating tight deadlines and good follow through in a fast-paced environment

Process Improvement Expertise: Experience with process optimization and efficiency methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean, to streamline workflows and enhance program outcomes

Data Center Ecosystem Knowledge: In depth understanding of datacenter technologies, systems & software design, integration of hardware/software solutions and ecosystem partner collaboration

Strategic Thinking and Vision: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align program initiatives with broader organizational goals, balancing short execution with long-term planning

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) as well as collaboration and project management platforms; Confluence, SharePoint, Highly Skilled in MS Office & MS Project tool suites, Confluence, SharePoint and JIRA.

Act as a liaison between leadership & staff as needed. Facilitate periodic meeting series & interlocks between technical leaders - collecting and setting agenda as well as tracking Action Items to completion.

Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism as well as be a confidant serving as a strategic advisor to management

PMP, Agile or other certifications (helpful)

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's degree in EE, CE, or CS, or a related technical field; Master's preferred

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
