Job description

This temp to hire position will play a vital role in supporting attorneys with trust and estate planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal assistant with a strong understanding of these practice areas to gain valuable experience at a prestigious firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to a team of attorneys

  • Draft and prepare legal documents

  • Assist attorneys with trust and estate planning documents and transactions

  • Conduct legal research

  • Manage and maintain client files electronically and in hard copy, ensuring all documents are readily accessible and organized.

  • Prepare and manage attorney timekeeping, billing, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm policies.

  • Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals

  • Perform other legal and administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant in trust and estate planning

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with legal research databases a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy



Pay Details: $20.00 to $32.00 per hour
