Overview

Serve as an outside sales representative to cultivate and retain a customer base by generating sales in hallway/conversion systems and related storage facilities. This is a remote/work from home job opportunity with anticipated 70% weekly travel. Prefer applicants based in Texas (applicants must be based in states that Mueller is currently located in or planned expansion states).


Key Job Duties

  • Prospect, identify, and pursue customer leads and opportunities for sales with hallway/conversion systems and related storge facilities. Leverage contractor and professional networks to source customer opportunities. Perform bold and innovative actions to influence the customer.
  • Build, manage, and maintain customer relationships with key decision-makers. Understand regional markets, competitor strengths and weaknesses, implement strategies for market penetration and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and coach Mueller personnel to support, align efforts, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Effectively probe to understand the customer's needs. Educate the customer, interpret project requirements, and assist the sales force and estimating support with quoting and closing quotes.
  • Ensure the sale of Mueller's products and services comply with proper pricing thresholds, profit margin guidelines, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales and installation experience within the hallway and conversion systems industry is required.
  • Experience in mini/self-storage and boat/recreational vehicle (RV) storage systems is a plus.
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis (anticipated weekly travel of 70%) necessary to source customers and grow market share. Attend trade shows regularly. Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate professionally and build/maintain relationships.
  • Basic computer skills required. Sufficient understanding of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for driving sales success. Take initiative to fulfill job requirements.
  • Must have sound organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to think conceptually and produce desired results.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Hire-in salary of $67,500 to $72,500 depending on qualifications. Commission opportunity up to 100% of base salary. Company vehicle provided.
