Summary:
Summary
The Painter performs all aspects of rail car coatings including painting, blasting, priming, sealing, and patching surfaces.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Follows all EHS rules and regulations
Interprets job work orders to perform required railcar coatings
Coordinates and completes coatings in an efficient manner and within assigned hours
Notifies supervisor of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
Interacts with crew members in a team environment, as well as with supervisor
Ensures Federal Rail Road Administration, The Association of American Rail Roads, Greenbrier Rail Services and customer quality assurance standards are met
Participates in special projects
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Ability to focus and pay close attention to detail while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools such as painting and blasting equipment
Preferred Qualifications
One to two years' work experience
Experience working in a production environment
