Job description

Currently seeking dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our prestigious practice in Corpus Christi, TX.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, evaluating and managing acute medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies.
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  • Stabilize and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring resuscitation and advanced life support interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, consult with specialists, and arrange appropriate transfers, if necessary.
  • Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for the management of emergency cases, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based care.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide education, support, and a patient-centered care experience.
  • As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to patients in our high-acuity Emergency Department (ED).
  • You will work 12-hour shifts with the support of advanced practice providers (APPs) and manage an annual volume of approximately 28,000 patients.

Requirements:


  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and valid medical license.
  • Level 2 Trauma center
  • 30,000 patients per year
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/ABEOM).
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical and traumatic emergencies.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, promoting effective collaboration and teamwork.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
