Lead Plant Operator - Coyanosa, Texas (Rotator)

Living Arrangements: Candidate may live remote but responsible for their own living arrangements during 7-Days on shift
Position Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire)
Salary: $43-45/Hour (Based on Experience)
Bonus: Potential Sign-On bonus, Quarterly retention bonus (4%), & Annual performance based bonus (Up to 10%)
Daily Schedule: 7-Days on/7 Days off, 4AM-4PM Rotates between Days & Nights to 4PM-4AM
Overtime: As required due to training, covering other operators, supporting operations, etc
Experience: 8-10+ Years
Our client is currently seeking a Plant Lead Operator located in Coyanosa, TX. The Plant Lead Operator is responsible for assisting in the operation of a cryogenic natural gas processing facility to ensure optimum plant performance, including monitoring operations of natural gas processing, product treating, compression, making necessary adjustments, performing inspections, and conducting preventive maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor and assess plant operations/processes with knowledge of reciprocating natural gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation equipment, valves, gas measurement equipment, etc.
Operating the plant equipment and system may include, but is not limited to:Adjusting controls to operate equipment in the recommended or prescribed operating ranges
Visually inspecting equipment and controls at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication
Monitor cryogenic plant operations and respond appropriately to emergency or upset conditions
Install equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves and perform general maintenance as needed
Implements safe work practices, ensuring safety of employees, the public, and the environment
Collect data readings and monitoring SCADA, equipment, and potential impacts to gas deliveries
Must be able to read prints, drawings, and technical manuals and possess the ability to prepare technical reports
Fill out applicable work/hot work permits, lockout/tag-out documentation, attend and participate in tailgate sessions with others involved in work site activities.
Perform routine shutdowns and startup of equipment and perform emergency procedures when required
Act as relief operator as needed
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent, required
10+ years (8 years may be considered) of Oil & Gas Industry experience, Midstream, Gas Plant Operations
2-year vocational oil and gas industry training preferred
Basic computer skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheet and word processing applications
Experience with SCADA and control systems (Wonderware)
Knowledgeable in Process Safety Management (PSM) regulatory requirements
Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety including complying with state and federal regulations
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of mechanical equipment
Strong verbal/written communication skills, decision making skills and a strong work ethic
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and is subject to random drug testing
Physical Requirements
Vision sufficient to read computer screens, reports, and related documents
Hearing sufficient to hear verbal instruction and normal conversation levels
Speech sufficient to communicate in person and over the telephone in English
Dexterity sufficient to operate computers, tools and equipment
Able to work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched, or kneeling position
Able to bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling from ground level and lift to 75 lbs.
React to conditions, alarms and beacons using olfactory senses
Wear special safety equipment (PPE) while working
Endurance sufficient to maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift
Working Conditions
Work indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment
Work in extreme weather conditions around operating equipment
Primary work environment is outdoors, where employee maybe exposed to varying weather conditions, with temperatures ranging from below freezing to above 100 degrees
Employee is exposed to loud noises, dust, and vibrations
Ability to work assigned 12-hour rotating (day/night) shifts with the potential of overtime, required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a call-out basis
Required to carry a pager and/or cell phone while on call
Work well within a team environment, and/or independently with limited supervision if needed
