Job description

Job Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules.

Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Coordinate with other departments such as supply chain, quality control, and maintenance to optimize production processes.

Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.

Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide regular feedback to team members.

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer specifications.

Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.

Work closely with the quality control team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Manage production schedules, material inventories, and resource allocation to meet production targets while minimizing waste and costs.

Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies for production.

Optimize equipment utilization and maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations governing paint manufacturing operations.

Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry standards, implementing changes as needed to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in paint manufacturing required

Strong understanding paint formulations and the appropriate cleaning methods for a paint tank in a manufacturing environment required

Strong knowledge of paint manufacturing processes, including mixing, blending, tinting, and packaging.

Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards in the paint industry.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate cross-functionally.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
