JOB TITLE: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Building Blocks Texas ABA provides 1:1 ABA therapy to children, adolescents and young adults diagnosed with ASD and other related disorders. Our mission is to provide quality, personalized care through a family-oriented culture that enables work-life balance.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The BCBA role develops and coordinates program delivery for individual clients and their families using Applied Behavior Analysis, functional analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

- Supervisory role to provide programming oversight and development of direct support professionals and other individuals in support roles for families
-Design and facilitate Applied Behavior Analysis training, using both discrete trial and natural environment training models of teaching.
-Facilitate the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families
-Provide model teaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
-Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and develop behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Complete session notes using Catalyst within 48 hours of each session.
-Provide consultation services and to maintain ongoing communication with all constituents (other supports, parents, community, and community agencies).
-Remain current with new research findings and resources and continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary (32 credits every 2 years).
-Maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between personal care staff and families, and to provide ongoing feedback to government related agencies that contract with such families.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

_Education:_
-Masters Degree in ABA or a related field

_Experience:_

-Experience working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities

_Other:_
-BCBA certification

-LBA State Licensure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
