Our client is a family owned and operated business that is seeking a qualified, or highly interested and motivated, individual to join our team in completing Aerobic Septic Tank Inspections and Repairs to preserve the good condition and functionality of Aerobic Septic Systems. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the aerobic systems in their best possible condition. Company will provide: sampling/power tools, uniforms, company truck, field training and assistance with obtaining OSSF Maintenance Technician License.

Our work is mostly in Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Waller and Montgomery Counties. Basic knowledge of GPS and good driving record is required. Plumbing/electrical skills are a plus, shoveling/digging is required. Must be able to work in Texas weather conditions and provide proof of a current active drivers license.

Responsibilities:

  • Survey an average of 12-15 septic systems/1-2 repairs are required daily to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and filters, clean and repair any issues with system after costumers' approval.)
  • Report all completed inspection paperwork to manager
  • Assist in the setup of systems and conduct repairs when necessary
  • Maintain work area
  • Inspect alarm systems and schedule future repairs when needed
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures (truck and yard) and other tasks as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience as Maintenance Technician
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and other systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of hand tools, common appliances and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a bonus

Preferred:

  • Mechanical knowledge: 1 years
  • Electrical knowledge: 1 years
  • Plumbing knowledge: 1 years
  • Maintenance: 2 years
