Account Manager - Dallas, TX (Turtle Creek Office)

Position type and expected hours of work: Full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically 8 am to 5 pm, with an hour lunch break. Additional hours may be necessary.

Summary: As an Account Manager overseeing Walmart accounts, you will manage day-to-day operations, including handling key communications with Walmart's corporate teams, ensuring seamless execution of business initiatives, and delivering exceptional service. You will be the primary point of contact, coordinating with internal and home offices to drive performance and achieve business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, as you will prepare and deliver high-level reports, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to optimize account performance. You will also play a critical role in strategic planning, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring adherence to Walmart's operational standards and expectations.

Essential functions:

  • Maintain and adhere to processing deadlines.
  • Account Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of Walmart accounts, serving as the main point of contact for Walmart's corporate teams, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key Walmart stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive long-term business success.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver detailed reports, including performance, inventory management, and forecasting. Analyze data to identify trends, address issues, and recommend actionable insights to improve account performance.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with internal teams and Walmart to develop and execute strategies that align with both company and customer objectives, identifying growth opportunities and driving new initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively address operational challenges and resolve any issues that may arise with Walmart, ensuring quick and effective solutions to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Sales Support: Monitor program metrics, promotional activities, and product launches to ensure that Walmart's business goals are met, while optimizing for sustainability growth. Working closely with the sales representative to ensure that the two companies align.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all product offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional activities meet Walmart's corporate guidelines and compliance standards.

Competency:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and NetSuite
  • Understanding of the accounts function in a business enterprise and transactional impact on the general ledger
  • Must be a flexible team player who can adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete related tasks as needed
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Work environment: The position requires the employee to work in an office environment.

Physical demands: The position primarily requires sitting, typing and viewing a computer. Other less frequent physical demands include bending and lifting.

Travel: Travel is not expected with this position.

Preferred education and experience: High School Diploma or GED.
