Job description
A family heritage manufacturer is seeking a hunter and farmer with a passion for architecture, design and construction to represent their product to the Texas building community.
The Sales Representative is responsible to increase sales revenue in the region through first hand interactions with potential customers. Specifically, the sales person conducts detailed phone conversations pertaining to our products, business philosophy and commitment to service excellence. They are responsible for initiating follow up contact to provide each customer with the information necessary to order our products. Additionally, they are expected to work cooperatively and effectively as a member of both their designated sales team and the sales force as a whole. This includes, but is not limited to positive group interaction, role modeling, sharing responsibilities and collaboratively solving issues as they arise.
Business Acumen:
- Responds to incoming inquiries (via telephone, email, etc.) about the products and services available through the company
- Works diligently to identify, pursue and secure new business relationships with professionals in the trades through both individual and group focused prospecting.
- Continually builds profitable business relationships with potential repeat customers by regular documented re-engagement contact and customer service excellence.
- Identifies potential problem situations and acts accordingly to ensure a swift and positive resolution.
- Is committed to initiating and increasing personal product knowledge and sales skills through regular training and individual consultation
Managing and Mentoring:
- Guides Client Partners through appropriate correspondence as necessary with regarding customer inquiries.
- Guides Client Partners through completion of accurate customer documentation as required.
Reporting and Clerical:
- Maintains ongoing contacts with designated support persons,
- Reviews and coordinates customer correspondence including sales proposals.
- Maintains appropriate documentation of customer contact in CRM insuring up to date, accurate information.
General:
- Meets personally with visitors, walks them through showroom and answers questions as presented.
- Is available and able to respond positively to post sales questions, comments and areas of concern.
- Shows a willingness and ability to attend national trade shows, regular visit to job sites, and represents the company with requested sales presentations.

Education, Experience and Competencies
- Minimum High School / GED required; college degree preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
