Job description

Job Summary:
As the Department Manager for the Blinds/Window Coverings Division, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations within the department, including project management, client relations, team leadership, and financial performance. This role requires a strong background in blinds and window treatments, exceptional management skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee all activities within the Blinds Division, including sales, project management, installation, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the division, increase market share, and enhance profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals, including project managers, installers, and support staff.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage the division's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of blinds with other interior finishing solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the division's operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the blinds and window treatments industry, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of blinds, shades, shutters, and other window treatments, including installation techniques and product selection.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a department or division, with experience in project management, budgeting, and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in project management software, CRM systems, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
