Job description

This role will play a vital role in supporting insurance defense attorneys with all aspects of litigation matters.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to a team of litigators.

  • Prepare. edit, and format legal documents related to litigation, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, etc.

  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation

  • Organize and maintain case files electronically and in hard copy, ensuring exceptional attention to detail.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Assist with attorney timekeeping, expense reports, and calendaring deadlines

  • Manage deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in all work performed.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of legal assistant experience at a law firm supporting insurance defense matters

  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and concepts related to litigation procedures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with legal research databases a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
