A week in the life of aNavigation Systems Engineer: Develop and validate vehicle and environment models to simulateNavigation/GPS algorithm performance and robustness Evaluate technical documents, determine sufficiency for demonstrating compliance with specification and airworthiness, summarize findings, recommend changes, and communicate all results to the program office. Represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. Analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment. Formulate mathematical models or other methods of computer analysis to develop, evaluate, or modify design according to customer engineering requirements. Perform risk assessments and generate risk mitigation plans and strategies using DoD Risk Management methodology and procedures. Understand and work well within Integrated Product Team (IPT) organizational structures to deliver timely results. Job Requirements Experience in guidance, navigation, and control algorithm design and validation Experience with GPS and inertial sensors CurrentTop Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences or demonstrated comparable experience with ten (10) or more yearsof relevant experience Knowledge of system engineering principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative concepts.
