The Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration department within the Systems Sensors, Space and Air Systems Engineering discipline is currently seeking a Systems Engineering Manager for the Advanced RF Integration section. You will lead 12-16 Systems Engineers working in various development and algorithm engineering, reporting to the Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration Department Leader. This position is an Onsite role. What You Will Do: The Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration Systems Engineering Manager will have a technical role on at least one program in addition to performing the day-to-day leadership of systems engineers, with the primary responsibility of ensuring that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement.
Duties will include performance development and appraisal, salary planning, manpower planning, career, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Contributing to the technical oversight of employees, monitor program execution, and provide subject matter expertise in direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.
Conduct monthly team meetings and approve section members' timecards.
Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years of engineering experience OR an advanced degree with eight (8) years of engineering experience with System design, development, and software integration lab environment
System design and development experience
Experience providing full lifecycle support including high-level requirements gathering, systems design input, and end-to-end system integration and deployment
Act as the primary customer contact for program activities, lead customer program reviews to include cost, schedule, and technical performance
Hardware and/or software experience (preferably both) used on advanced airborne surveillance sensors
Ability to communicate ideas and technical project plans to enable an effective interface with various departments, levels of management, support staff, and customers
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer: Systems design and development experience in the field of airborne RF surveillance sensors (both passive and active)
Manage all phases of the program(s) from conceptualization through completion, including planning, and managing technical performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained
Flight and sensor operations Install, test, and maintain airborne sensors to ensure their performance
Develop solutions to problems that require coordination of technologies across program requirements
Work with diverse teams and tackle complex challenges
Ability to implement strategic goals established by functional leadership across the organization

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
