1st Shift Material Handler II

Position Summary

Responsible for the movement of components from inventory to production lines.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Responsible for the delivery of components to each line on the day of production.
Ensure all quantities within a kit are reviewed and verified.
Demonstrate the ability to safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, electrical pallet jack, or if certified forklift).
Transfer components from wood pallets to plastic when needed.
Ensure all lines are full with components and replenish when needed.
Ensure all work areas are clean and safe.
Help on production line when needed.
Qualifications
Technical Skills Required

Ability to operate a pallet jack and fork lift.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read small fonts.
Knowledge of the flow during manufacturing.
Spanish/English (bilingual) is a plus.
Experience Required

Must be forklift certified.
Warehouse experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to move, transport and position objects up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to read labels that could contain small fonts.
Must be able to perceive and identify colors.
Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, and stretch.
While performing the duties of the job, employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
May be exposed to loud noise when assembly machines are running.
May be required to ascend and descend ladders and/or stairs.
May be exposed to repetitive motions (making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers).
