Job Responsibilities:
Restore patient's function, alleviate pain, and prevent disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments.

Duties:
- Meet the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and/or by prescription.

- Help patients accomplish treatment plan goals by administering manual therapy techniques, exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.

- Administer physical therapy treatments by giving manual therapy; initiating traction; applying physical agents; utilizing moist packs, electronic modalities; directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and physical therapy assistants.

- Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, and other health care workers. Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment.

- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

- Maintain patient confidence and protect practice operations by keeping information confidential.

- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

- Develop physical therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.

- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

- Contribute to team effort with leadership and by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
