Job#: Job Description: Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team working at a top government service integrator on cleared project work. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Ansible, Python scripting, Palo Alto firewalls, and virtual machines (VMs). This role involves developing and maintaining robust, scalable applications and infrastructure solutions, with a focus on security and automation.
Location: Ft. Worth, Texas (onsite work required)
Please note to qualify for this role you must be a US citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage automation using Ansible playbooks.
Develop and maintain Python scripts for various automation tasks.
Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls to ensure network security.
Manage and optimize virtual machine environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop full-stack applications Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Ansible license configuration, provisioning, firewall, and user setup.
Deployment of virtual machines in VMware Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance (DoD) Ability to Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Systems or DevOps Engineer (4+ years) Proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
Strong Python scripting skills.
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and network security.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience with virtual machines (VMs) and related technologies.
Familiarity with JavaScript technologies/development Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud Preferred) Familiarity containerization and other DevOps practices.
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
