Job description

We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team of professionals!

Industrial Maintenance Technicians are responsible for a wide range of duties, including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. The role requires consistent attendance in a fast-paced team environment. Preference will be given to candidates with industrial maintenance and plastics extrusion experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Demonstrate consistent attendance in a demanding team setting.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance for production and auxiliary equipment.
- Support the installation of equipment from OEMs and third-party vendors.
- Perform building and ground maintenance.
- Assist in developing preventative maintenance procedures and checklists.
- Execute preventative and scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to optimize production.
- Diagnose problems, replace, repair, and test parts, making adjustments as necessary.
- Detect faulty operations and defective materials.
- Weld and fabricate parts as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Operate or assist in operating production equipment.
- Provide emergency repairs during production and on call as needed.
- Perform simple machinist duties.
- Source and price parts, supplies, and equipment for management approval.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Operate fork trucks, platform trucks, and other power lifts as required.
- Utilize various hand and power tools, electric meters, and welding and cutting equipment.
- Work independently with minimal direction.
- Travel intermittently and overnight as necessary.
- Maintain organization and order for safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to safety regulations and exercise good judgment in all tasks.
- Communicate and collaborate with co-workers.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:

- 3 years of maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting.
- Basic math, reading, and handwriting skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 60 to 100 pounds, bend, and climb.
- Flexible schedule to meet on-call requirements for a 24/7 production schedule.
