Job description

Candidate would be in Person 1099 Position School Based. Candidate must have pedatric experience and school-based experience is required. Contract would start April and complete on-boarding by March. Contract renewal based on performance.

Job Summary: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with a range of communication disorders in a school setting. The SLP will be responsible for conducting evaluations, delivering group and individual therapy, attending ARD meetings, and collaborating with other school professionals to support student success. Responsibilities related to case management are excluded. This position focuses on helping students improve their speech, language, and communication skills in order to access the curriculum and enhance their social and academic performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Speech-Language Evaluations
Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Individual and/or Group Therapy Services
Attend ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) Meetings
Collaboration with School Professionals such as Case Managers, Diagnosticians, Licensed School Psychologist (LSSP), Occupational Therapist (OT), Teachers, and Counselors
Documentation and Reporting

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid Speech-Language Pathology license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
Must have experience working in a school setting with students who have communication disorders.
Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations (IDEA) and experience with the IEP/ARD process.
Must pass criminal background screening.
Must pass a drug and alcohol screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
