The UC-35 Cessna Citation/ C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on the UC-35 Cessna Citation (Or C-12/ King Air ) aircraft. (Level of Mechanic is based on years of specific C-12/UC-35 hands-on A&P mechanic experience). A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required. Union CBA Site provides 3 levels of A&P Mechanic, (experience based on specific number of years' experience is on the (MDS) Mission Design Series aircraft assigned, UC-35 Cessna Citation, or C-12/King Air . (Details below in Requirements). Must be willing and able to work Any shift assigned under the Union CBA, based on seniority. Second Shift will be Required (2:00- 10:30 PM). Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751. Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary. Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent is required. Valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required. Union CBA Site provides 3 levels of A&P Mechanic, (experience based on specific number of years' experience is on the specific (MDS) Mission Design Series aircraft assigned, UC-35 Cessna Citation, or C-12/King Air . AM-1 Requirements - FAA A&P and Two (2) Years of A&P mechanic experience is Required, with Two (2) years of specific UC-35 Citation OR C-12/King Air hands-on experience strongly preferred. AM-2 Requirements - FAA A&P and Five (5) years of A&P Mechanic experience with Five (5) years of UC-35 Cessna Citation (or C-12) specific hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience required. AM-3 Requirements - Ten (10) years of FAA A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of UC-35 Citation Or C-12/ King Air specific aircraft hands-on experience required. Valid Driver's License is required. Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA. Second Shift will be Required; Must be willing and able to work (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) M-F. Security Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization. Preferred Qualifications Comply with written Customer and company maintenance and logistics procedures and policies. Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable. Must be willing and able to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation. Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude. Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
