Huntsman is seeking a Site Manager supporting the Performance Products Division located in Freeport, Texas.

This position will report to the Americas Manufacturing Director.

Job Scope

The Site Manager role is a dynamic leadership position, delivering safe and reliable plant performance and high-quality products by leading a motivated site team to routinely deliver World Class performance efficiently at a competitive cost position. The Site Manager is accountable for delivery of site and business objectives, working collaboratively through cross functional teams. The Site Manager leads a highly motivated organization to allow team members to reach maximum potential, while ensuring effective use of Huntsman's capital resources. The Site Manager must build and maintain a culture of achievement and delivery of results from the site team. The role is responsible for all aspects of operations at the Freeport site, both individually and through the Site Leadership Team including Operations, Distribution, Engineering, Technical, and Quality. Typical number supervised both directly and indirectly can range between 60-75 with another approximately 30 nested contractors. The Site Manager also manages the relationship with several critical third parties including Dow (provide ground lease, utilities, and services) and Corteva (provide vent destruction).

In summary, as the Site Manager, your duties and responsibilities will be:

Spends time on site daily setting high expectations, ensuring those expectations are being met, taking corrective actions immediately as needed, and developing a performance culture on site which strives to achieve and routinely meets key milestones.

Assures that all Freeport site operations are in strict compliance with all local, State, and Federal EHS regulations,as well as assured strong execution of critical work processes at site including Safety (permit to work, LOTO, working at heights), process safety (management of change, mechanical integrity), maintenance execution, and reliability.

Promotes corporate image by participation in community and public affairs.

Makes a high priority to attract top talent to the Freeport organization, and working with HR to assure a positive, results oriented working environment where people are given routine feedback and helped to reach their career objectives. This includes talent development processes to include training and inclusion in activities that build capabilities of high potential team members.

Develops and maintains an effective system to report and discuss performance against established objectives, to include active work on closing gaps causing deviation from expected results. Ensures a culture which is not satisfied reporting problems, instead fostering a culture where routine delivery of results is expected by the team.

Develops a site strategy to accomplish long term business, site, and company objectives.

Represents the Freeport sites during management review and discussion, as well as with cross functional problem-solving teams.

Manages third party relationships and monitors contract compliance with critical third parties including Dow (provide ground lease, utilities, and services) and Corteva (provide vent destruction). Operationally there is also a relation with Olin who provides raw materials.

Directly accountable for the development of the annual budget proposals for indirect costs (salaries and wages, maintenance, and operations) in the range of $40-45 Mln and the monitoring and adjustment to meet the budget commitments throughout the year. Also accountable for average annual CAPEX spend of $5-8 Mln CAPEX and delivery of cost-efficient turnarounds ( $13Mln) of medium complexity every 2 years.

Work collaboratively with the commercial teams to deliver the business plan including product management, supply chain, finance, and S&OP.

Other general responsibilities:

Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.

Participates in and completes company-required training programs.

Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

8+ years of related experience in chemical or petroleum industry required.

Skills and knowledge

Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs

Must display a high degree of integrity, trust, and competence and be willing to accept positive change, difference of opinion, excel at conflict management, and/or compromise in the day-to-day problem-solving process.

Must possess a strong working knowledge of Process Safety along with a passion for making sure the site has the infrastructure and working culture to ensure World Class performance.

Must be able to assess future production requirements and develop short and long-term plans to make production changes.

Must have a general knowledge of all aspects of management and be able to assimilate a large quantity of data in the decision-making process.

Must demonstrate managerial independence, and be willing to report issues as far through the organization as needed for issues of safety and compliance
