Principal Accountabilities

Performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process

Performing routine and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all wastewater and groundwater equipment

Performing daily/weekly checks of monitoring equipment (samplers, probes, meters, etc.)

Performing general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the Environmental Department's area of operation

Backfilling other positions/tasks as needed

Completing daily wastewater lab testing and adjusting control inputs to the aeration system

Operating the biogas system

Entering data in excel spreadsheets and maintaining records

Required Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Must be 18 years or older

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Basic Computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

Have high school diploma or GED

Have valid Texas driver's license

Good attendance record

Work weekends on a rotational schedule

Lift a minimum of 40 lbs

General working knowledge of basic machinery, preventative maintenance, and repair

Work effectively in a team environment and also have the ability to take independent action in a timely manner using good judgement with minimum supervision

Successful candidate will be required to take wastewater and water classes and obtain both (Wastewater and Water Operator licenses) within ONE YEAR of employment
