Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.

• Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.

• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.

• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.

• Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.

Skills

• Proficient understanding of dental terminology and codes.

• Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.

• Experience in assisting during dental procedures with a focus on four-handed dentistry.

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure safety in the clinical environment.

• Open dental (preferred)
