Job Overview: Thank you for taking the time to consider this position! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Bell County, Texas. This role is vital to managing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee transactions, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and the general ledger. You will also manage compliance, including sales tax and annual filings, ensuring adherence to company regulations and state laws. This position plays a crucial role in supporting month-end and year-end closings.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and compliance activities.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of 2-4 people, ensuring accomplishment of accounting objectives. Conduct performance evaluations and identify training opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all accounting practices follow legal guidelines and established accounting principles. Manage sales tax and annual filings.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Audit Assistance: Support annual audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with external auditors.
  • Internal Controls: Work with the company financial team to create and maintain effective internal controls and policies.
  • Staff Development: Implement training for new hires and create development plans for current staff.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • System Management: Oversee accounting software and systems, recommending and implementing upgrades as needed.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present financial information to management and other departments clearly and concisely.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of progressive work experience, including staff accountant and supervisor roles in A/P and A/R functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with large scale ERP systems; Oracle and Epicor experience preferred.
  • Multi-site experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:


  • Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)
  • Benefits Package: Full benefits including all insurance, 401(k) with company match, and PTO.
