Job description

Job Title: Engineering Technician D Job Location: Greenville, TX Schedule: 9/80 1st shift. Standard work hours 6:30am-5pm Job Description: Performs functional test support operations based on standard operating and test procedures. Performs technical duties in operating, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and aligning of electronic equipment. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Essential Functions: Responsible for the test and evaluation of Group B electronic equipment and components.
Must be able to read and understand all detailed work instructions, drawings, schematics, and procedures and perform computer related tasks with minimal assistance.
May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify processes.
Assemble, configure, test, operate, and repair hardware in accordance with documentation provided.
Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to support general laboratory test and evaluation operations (Multimeter, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.).
Perform benchtop functional testing with only the guidance of a test procedure and understand what the procedure is testing.
Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools.
Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to manager.
Support facility operations through the completion of assigned tasks as directed by management. Qualifications: Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Familiar with standard electronic test and measurement equipment operations. Preferred Additional Skills: Must be able to read and understand all applicable work instructions and procedures and perform computer related tasks without assistance.
Possess a high level of initiative and willingness to learn.
Professional attitude and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Daily schedule and task flexibility with minimal notice.
Basic computer skills including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word). Basic networking experience is also preferred.
Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience with working in an ESD safe environment.
