Job description

Riverside Overview Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. Position Overview Designs, implements and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma). Responsibilities Supports PMO, Squadron, and Product Assurance Leadership by managing and providing direction to multiple contractors developing new system capabilities and Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) activities. Manage RC-135 mission system online database content and access. Reports to leadership data base analysis anomalies up and down intended goal achievements of -135 aircraft in the Big Safari portfolio in coordinating with the user. Coordinate modification requirements and planning with contractor and system user. Travel to global locations to train users and perform required aircraft maintenance and operational assistance, assuring depot support enhancing aircraft availability. Manage Government's review of contractor Technical Process Specification. Manages and assigns work to piers and subordinates during PA Directors and Superintendents absence based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the individual's capabilities. Oversee all contractor MICAP and CANN request as well as monitor part delivery dates that would impact aircraft schedule. Review and make recommendations on RC-135 mission system maintenance technical orders, user manuals, wiring diagrams, vendor manual and locally produced data, perform reviews prior to updates being released to the field. Review and validate user technical order improvement requests. Represents Produce Assurance leaderships, policies and procedures during FOD, Safety, CAB and Continuous Improvement meetings. Interacts with company quality personnel resolving any infraction of quality objectives of customer aircraft and equipment. Evaluate and provide recommendations on contractor generated plans, technical data, technical manuals, and engineering changes in reference to mission system configuration, modification, performance, and issues. Participate as an aircrew member on PDM input, test, and delivery flights as well as train others in the requirements of aircrew duties. Manage Air Force station 3 and 4 inspections to verify aircraft system operations and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Support technical/quality control evaluations RC-135 aircraft. Evaluate program schedules, plans, and test procedures for content and accuracy ensuring appropriate mission system performance and milestones during all phases of the acquisition process Attend design reviews at appropriate intervals to ensure mission system development meets mission and contract requirements Review and make recommendations on Statement of Work and/or Objectives for prime contractor/sub-contractor/vendors as required. Review MITD proposals for accuracy against Fiscal Year Work Specification and Statement of Work requirements Qualifications A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 6 years with a Master's degree, a PhD with 3 years' experience, or equivalent experience is typically required for an employee at this level Current TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance Experience with RC-135 weapon systems, test, evaluation, sustainment and programmed depot maintenance roles Extensive mission system modification and integration experience while leading various teams RC-135 field operational and maintenance experience with aircraft as a Flight line Maintenance Technician Knowledge and experience on operating aerospace ground equipment Proven record in problem solving, decision-making, logistics management, program and production management abilities Experience reviewing contract proposals Experience inspecting government contractors FAA Airframe and Power plant License Global Comp $90,000 - $120,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
