Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to develop and implement strategic plans for the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring alignment with the hospital's overall goals and objectives.

Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of the unit, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

Quality and Safety: Maintain a culture of safety and quality, implementing evidence-based practices and monitoring compliance with regulatory standards.

Staff Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop top-notch nursing talent, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Patient Advocacy: Champion patient-centered care and advocate for the needs of both patients and staff.

Performance Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Collaboration: Build strong relationships with physicians, other departments, and hospital leadership to ensure seamless care coordination.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.

MSN or master's in a health-related field is preferred.

Experience:

2+ years of progressive management experience as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position in a hospital environment.

Licensure/Certifications:

Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.

AHA BLS certification (must be obtained within 5 working days before assuming patient care).
