About the role:

Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the timely completion of the daily accounts payable function.

Process high volume creditor invoices.

Match, batch and code invoices.

Perform creditor and bank reconciliation.

Audit freight invoices.

Answer all creditor inquiries professionally.

Assist with month-end procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
About you:

Proficiency using Microsoft Office - particularly Outlook and Excel;

Must have a demonstrated proficiency with integrated Accounting Software Applications, preferably Microsoft Business Solutions Dynamics SL (Solomon) alternatively MBS Dynamics GP or NAV (Great Plains or Navision);

Attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;

Must have positive attitude and work well with others;

Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to prepare Credit Account Applications for approval.

Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.

Ability to negotiate payment arrangements.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to adapt to changes in organizational structure and software.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

4 - 7 years of accounts payable experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Able to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer;

Able to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions;

Able to lift and carry files weighing up to 5 pounds;

Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen;

Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
