Job description

Responsibilities:
The Administrator is responsible for directing, coordinating and controlling all aspects of the operating functions, processes, and staff of the ASC, while demonstrating the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Responsible and accountable for the overall delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of perioperative care including but not limited to outpatient surgery, pre-op, operating room; post anesthesia care, gastrointestinal, sterile processing and anesthesia services. Functions as a resource person for staff members and provides necessary education, training, competency validation, and performance reviews of individual members of the nursing staff. Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided by specified units. Makes decisions regarding patient care activities.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in one of the health professions, business Administration, public administration or other suitable field. Nursing or Master's Degree preferred.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum five (5) years of experience in a top Administrative or Management position in the health field.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

For Registered Nurses: Current license as Registered Nurse in Texas; Certified in Basic Life Support.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Excellent interpersonal skills; computer skills; basic finance knowledge and basic typing skills. Must have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the surgical setting, demonstrated leadership abilities, financial competence, and sound management abilities. Good command of the English language, both verbal and written. Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others. The Governing Board may determine other qualifications as seen fit.
