Job description

HealthMark Rehabilitation is an _inhouse_ therapy company, serving the Skilled Nursing Facility patients and residents of HMG facilities.

We're currently seeking a Full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant/COTA to treat residents and short-term patients at our _ Park Manor of Westchase _facility in Houston _ , Texa _s.

Responsibilities include:

Delivery of the OT plan of care, under the supervision of our Occupational Therapy staff.

Assist the Occupational Therapist with patient screenings for the need for Occupational Therapy, as well as to help with gathering data for the OT evaluation.

Communicate progress toward OT goals with the supervising OTR and other rehab and facility staff as needed.

Consistently complete documentation of OT services and patient responses on a timely basis.

Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner using good infection prevention methods.

Provide patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each OT patient's specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.

Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications include :

Graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy Assistants, with an Associates Degree as an OTA.

Current Texas license in good standing as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Meet physical requirements to deliver OT services.

Experience in a geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred.

Successful completion of hiring process / background check.
