Job description
LHH is seeking an experienced litigation attorney for a long-term contract assignment for a well established law firm in the Houston area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents such as pleadings, maintaining their own case load and providing strategic legal analysis, and appearing in court for various hearings. Successful candidate should feel comfortable communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Responsibilities
Maintain and handling all phases of litigation case load with little supervision, ensuring progress for clients
Analyze and issue spot
Draft legal documents such as pleadings
Attend hearings and trial
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
JD, Active Bar License
2+ years of litigation experience in Texas State Courts
Excellent written communication, with experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery, drafting and arguing motions,
Experience defending depositions and preparing cases for trial
Strong research skills
Technology proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in insurance coverage, insurance defense or commercial litigation matters preferred

Pay Details: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour
