Director of Project Management, Industrial Commercial Construction

Houston, TX 77015

The Director of Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization's research, development, and product implementation efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees a team of managers and analysts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications

Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints

Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project, and prepares and implements a budget

Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate)

Creates and maintains relationships, and acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors

Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems

Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

Strong Supervisory and leadership skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to hit deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Through understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related field, which may include Construction, Business, or Engineering

5+ years of team management with a combined total of 15+ years experience in Project Management, including some in the industrial commercial construction industry

Must have current PMP certification

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
