Job description

gpac is working with a law firm who is dedicated to providing top-tier legal services. Their team of experienced professionals works tirelessly to protect the rights and interests of their clients. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plaintiff 1st Party Property Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. She is also interested in construction defect, nursing home abuse or condo association but must be on the plaintiff side.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for representing clients in matters related to property insurance claims. You will work closely with clients to ensure their rights are protected, and they receive the compensation they deserve. This role requires a deep understanding of property insurance policies, litigation processes, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal representation.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Represent clients in 1st party property insurance claims, including but not limited to residential and commercial property damage claims.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of insurance policies, claim documents, and relevant case law.
  • Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the claims process.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in property insurance law and regulations.

Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property insurance law, with a focus on 1st party property claims or construction defect, condo associations, and nursing home abuse.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software
  • Experience with both residential and commercial property insurance claims.
  • Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Experience in trial litigation.
