Job description

Industrial Maintenance Electrician (open to entry level to more senior level electrician).

Our client has an opening for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. This role is open to entry-level candidates as well as more senior candidates. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems, and industrial troubleshooting. You will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. The work environment can be hot, cold, dirty, and fast-paced, so adaptability and problem-solving skills are a must.
Responsibilities:

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.

Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase, 480V systems.

Program and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megaohmeters to test electrical systems and ensure safety and compatibility.

Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Safely utilize forklifts and high lifts in the workplace.

Collaborate with a team of skilled trade workers to complete maintenance and installation projects.

Perform work in diverse environments (hot, cold, dirty, fast-paced).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Electrician License or completion of a two-year electrical program.

Experience with 3-phase, 480V, and industrial troubleshooting.

Demonstrated ability to safely operate forklifts and high lifts.

Physically capable of working from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.

Proficient in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and circuits.

Must pass a pre-employment background, drug, and work screen.

Availability to work 12-hour day and night shifts, weekends, call-outs, and overtime.

Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC systems is a plus.

Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
