Overview Logistics Center Technicians are responsible for ensuring all operational activities are executed accurately and timely, following specific procedures and processes as defined in Work Instructions created by Quality Assurance or Subject Matter Experts. This role involves the receiving, cleaning, testing, inventory control and storage of Cryoport temperature-controlled shippers. The Logistics Center Technician reports to the Logistic Center Supervisor. Primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to: Perform the receipt and testing of all incoming Cryoport temperature-controlled shippers. Perform all shipment processing in Cryoportal 2.0 in accordance with Work Instruction and SOP Perform shipper cleaning process to ensure shippers maintain pharmaceutical excellence Responsible for inventory cycle counts for fixed assets and consumable goods Ensure all job-related paperwork is correct, error-free, and completed in real-time as per SOPs Effectively communicate and correspond with other business units, clients, drivers, etc. Regularly check SOP's and work instructions for assigned Logistics Center activities Practice safety when operating mechanical equipment, including a forklift, pallet jack, and handcarts Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental statutory, regulatory, and company regulations Work around hazardous substances and follows all safety guidelines to minimize exposure Available for infrequent overtime work as necessary, and be willing to be on-site, out of hours, in the case of emergency or extraordinary work requirement Assist in the supervision of temporary contract staff as required Participate in client audits and facility presentations as needed Perform other duties as assigned Specifics about the job Full-time, M-F as well as occasional weekends, when needed (OT) Hours: 7 AM -3 PM or 9 AM- 5 PM, depending upon the company's need Competencies and personal attributes Ability to perform with excellence in a fast-paced environment Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development Passion for and alignment with Cryoport's mission A change agent and strong collaborator who is not afraid of challenging the status quo An individual who brings strong core values, quality, ethics, and integrity A collaborative team player who embraces and champions the culture Maintains a professional manner when problems/conflicts arise Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED Must be able to lift/carry up to 20-80 lbs. Frequent physical activity, i.e., walking, lifting, standing, cleaning, counting, etc. Must be able to effectively communicate in English Proficient computer skills, specifically with Chrome/Edge and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment Prior experience with pick/pack, ship, receive deliveries and inventory control procedure, preferred Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, Lean Six Sigma or SS, and Kanban, a plus Compensation: $20 hr.
