Expected salary range of $127,800 to $142,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Responsibilities:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Manager of Residential Sales will report to the Executive Director of Mass Market Sales. They will lead our residential sales team and be responsible for developing and executing acquisition and retention strategies, managing third-party call center partner relationships, and ensuring alignment with our key initiatives and growth objectives.

The individual will lead a team of channel managers and be responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships with our sales vendors and agents to develop a best-in-class sales experience for customers while maximizing product relationships and achieving our acquisition and renewal sales goals. In addition to managing the day-to-day sales activity with our vendor partners, the Residential Sales Manager will also be responsible for coordinating cross functional support internally partnering with marketing, digital, operations, pricing, legal, regulatory, etc. They will leverage campaign metrics, reporting, as well as feedback from partners, agents, and customers to gain insights and enable data-driven decisions for continuous improvement and innovation related to product positioning, product development, marketing activity, etc.

This role will also be responsible for new channel development and refining our go-to-market strategy for the consumer segment in response to evolving market and customer dynamics.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategy Development and Execution- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and retention strategies for residential customers. Align sales and retention playbook with company's growth objectives and customer/market demands. Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to inform strategy refinement.

Team Leadership and Management- Lead and facilitate a team environment to promote sales growth, including promoting cross selling, selling additional products, and prospecting as appropriate. Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales targets and customer satisfaction. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to optimize team effectiveness.

Sales Campaign Management- Design and launch sales campaigns to drive customer acquisition and retention. Analyze campaign performance data and make data-driven decisions to optimize results. Collaborate with marketing and other departments to enhance campaign effectiveness and develop or refine campaigns.

Third-Party Call Center Oversight- Oversee relationships with third-party call centers handling inbound and outbound sales and retention campaigns. Direct and coordinate call center activities to ensure alignment with sales strategies and objectives. Monitor performance metrics, ensuring high standard of customer services and compliance with company policies

Compliance and Quality Assurance - Deliver high quality enrollments and best in class customer experience. Develop, track, and evaluate quality and compliance measures implementing and improving upon best practices to ensure vendor partners align with our values, ethics and compliance culture.

Reporting and Analysis- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, customer retention rates and other key metrics. Present findings and recommendations to Sr leadership team. Use data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement or growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of progressive experience in sales, channel management, preferably within energy (electricity and/or natural gas) sector

Self-motivated and results-oriented with proactive approach to problem-solving

Strong leadership and team management skills with track record for cultivating high-performing teams

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends

Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans

Strong problem-solving skills and strategic mindset

Familiarity with call center technologies and practices

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Ability to travel as needed to oversee call center operations and meet with partners or stakeholders

Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field

Experience with both electricity and natural gas
