Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for compiling and reviewing all NGL and Crude truck and railcar data and making sure the information is correct across systems.
• Compile, evaluate, and maintain incoming "third party" crude oil tickets and measurement data, ensuring accuracy, validity of contract, ticket information/deal numbers, and agreement with check measurement data where applicable
• Create crude oil lease allocation tickets and Y-grade truck tickets
• Manage rail car database, including strapping tables and shell capacities, and oversee the entire process of rail car and truck measurement operation
• Monitor and analyze measurement data and make necessary edits as needed to incoming volume and quality data to assure accuracy and completeness
• Review complex custody transfer data and daily liquid volume data from meters for accuracy and completeness
• Use knowledge of liquid properties and historical data, evaluate incoming liquid chromatograph and sample data to assure that it is reasonable and representative. Coordinates with the field on resolving analysis issues
• Maintains detailed records of all work performed, including data edits and system configuration changes, to ensure compliance with company SOX controls, and generates and distributes various reports to evaluate the accuracy of measurement data
• Maintains, reports, and troubleshoots physical pipeline L&U balances based upon information compiled from pipeline operations, field measurement operations, and commercial
• Evaluates incoming meter test data using applications such as (Flow-Cal , ProveIt) to determine if adjustments are required and perform the necessary volume or mass adjustments
• Perform Prior Period Adjustments, creating the required documentation for SOX controls and accounting settlements
• Work closely with SCADA support team, communications technicians, measurement technicians, and external customers for data integrity
• Maintain customer relations with third party customers
• Works with only general guidance and may assist in covering work for employees on sick/vacation
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute education requirement
• 1 - 3 years of experience with gas and liquid product measurement, preferred
• Experience with the pipeline measurement application FlowCal
• Knowledge of lease allocation process
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with various internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of complex systems and ability to identify opportunities to optimize economic performance
• Ability to track the measurement data processes from the beginning to end (meter through accounting)
• Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Excel (multi-scale graphs/pivot tables), Word, Outlook, and all necessary maintenance management programs
