Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Power BI Developer (Data Visualization Engineer)

Position type: Contract Role
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Location: Houston, Texas 77077, Hybrid (3 - 4 days onsite)

As a(n) Power BI Developer (Data Visualization Engineer) you will:

• Our direct client is looking to hire an ONSITE POWER BI DEVELOPER CONTRACTOR with exp gathering data and analyzing it.
• 5+ years experience in data visualization, with strong focus on POWER BI
• We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Visualization Engineer (POWER BI DEVELOPER) to join our team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide dashboards and reports for executives and senior management. These dashboards will consolidate key performance indicators (KPIs) and data from 20 business units across the organization, providing critical insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI and a strong background in data and analytics.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data visualization, with a strong focus on Power BI.
• Proven experience in building and managing enterprise-level dashboards and reports.
• Experience working with large datasets and integrating data from multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dashboard Development: Design and develop interactive and visually compelling dashboards in Power BI that meet the needs of executives and senior management.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data from various sources, ensuring accurate and timely data availability across all dashboards.
• KPI Reporting: Create and maintain KPIs and metrics that reflect the performance and health of the organization's 20 business units.
• User Experience: Ensure that dashboards are user-friendly and provide an intuitive experience for end-users, enabling them to explore data and insights efficiently.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders from different business units to understand their reporting needs and translate those into actionable dashboard features.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize dashboard performance, ensuring quick load times and responsiveness.
• Data Governance: Adhere to data governance standards and ensure the accuracy and consistency of the data presented in the dashboards.
• Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the dashboards and interpret the data.
• Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization and BI tools, recommending improvements and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems
• Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability of dashboards and reports.

Preferred Qualifications: (PLUS ONLY)

• Experience in a large enterprise environment, particularly within a multi-unit organization.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and experience with cloud-based data services.
• Certification in Power BI or other relevant data visualization tools.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range : $80/hr - $90/hr
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
