Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to serve as the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for a Platform Integration, Validation and Flight Test Team. The IPTL will contribute to cost and schedule management and tracking, performance management, and risk management for product integration, validation and testing >$25M in value across the period of performance. T he role requires critical interaction/event planning with the Chief Engineers, software team and system integration and test team with a focus on test processes, embedded test, factory operations, and other functions.

What You Will Do

  • You'll lead a multi-functional team consisting of direct reports who are responsible for the following:
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) and Control Account Manager (CAM) budget duties
  • Perform integration, verification, and testing to ensure the system under test performs according to design, specs and/or requirements
  • Perform data collection activities, including review and assessment of data elements, and provide detailed reports of results
  • Trace and/or correct faults in mechanical or electronic systems.
  • Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing, which include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages
  • Support field testing and qualification activities at government facilities, which includes occasional travel
  • Generate CR, CN, or VARs, complete data package and take to board (ERB/CCB)
  • Oversee and allocate tasking to small team of integration engineers ( 6 heads)
  • Monitor / manage upcoming tasks; assign resources
  • Coordinate with lab managers for shipping/receiving, maintaining calibration of equipment, and scheduling activities
  • Work with other IPT leads on the program to support shared usage of test assets
  • Collaborate actively with CAM, IPT, TA, CE, attend weekly meetings to provide status, needs
  • Customer and Industrial Partner management
  • Plan, organize, and help develop program progress reviews for the US Government customer
  • Conducting briefings and reporting to senior US Government and RTX Officials
  • Strategic planning and execution for long-term, affordable operational readiness support to exceed Warfighter needs
  • Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations on test strategy, coordination, execution, and reporting activities.
  • Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Directorate Leads, Chief Engineers, and Technical SMEs.
  • Represent the interests of the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) directorate on the program.
  • Interface with the customer community on a regular basis to share test status, issues, and address programmatic concerns.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of Ten (10) years prior relevant work experience in Raytheon or Military Operations with Raytheon Products

An active and in-scope Top Secret US security clearance is required.

Active and transferrable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required as only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Relevant experience to include a minimum of 5 of the following:
  • Forward Test or Deployment Experience in the field with USAF / USN customers
  • Experience with telemetry hardware and software, as well as telemetry data analysis tools
  • Experience with troubleshooting and investigation resolution
  • Experience with Verification and Validation methods
  • Experience creating checkout procedures, Test Plans, Test procedures and Test Reports
  • Experience creating and submitting technical data packages for review and approval
  • Experience with Flightline Operations in Air Force / Navy
  • Experience with munitions handling with Air Force / Navy platforms
  • Experience briefing senior military officers on programs and progress/failures
Additional Experience needed
  • Experience operating a $25M personnel and $75M materiel budget for Raytheon (such as a Cost Account Manager (CAM or the government
  • Leadership experience of a team of ten personnel or larger
  • Experience Developing or Safety or Quality Programs and Investigations
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in air-to-air missile systems design, integration, test, or flight captive carry and guided flight
  • Experience in air-to-surface missile systems design, integration, test, or flight captive carry and guided flight
  • Strong skillsets in planning, and executing multi-million-dollar contracts or events
  • Innovative skillset to implement creative solutions while achieving internal and external customer collaboration
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in writing and verbally and manage customer expectations/relationships
  • Ability to make complex decisions under stressful business situations and extreme time constraints
  • Ability to problem solve and implement strategic solutions throughout product life cycle
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer Collaboration experience discussion program, budget, schedule, and technical subjects
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and effectively engage at all levels of the organization to achieve program goals
  • Demonstrated history of meeting and/or exceeding USN or USAF customer expectations
  • Experience using Agile framework development methods and processes

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
