Job description

Position: Project Controls Lead

Position Overview
The Project Controls Lead, reporting to the Project Controls Manager, is responsible for overseeing planning, budgeting, change management, cost control, and estimating for all asset and hub activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all planning, budgeting, cost control, change management, and cost estimating efforts for the asset
  • Collaborate with key offshore team members
  • Prepare project cost estimates and assist with annual budgets
  • Oversee asset scheduling and ensure timely reporting of costs, forecasts, and accruals
  • Support risk analysis for projects
  • Compile project closeout reports on costs and schedules
  • Contribute to project controls, planning, and cost management procedures
  • Maintain project work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost breakdown structure (CBS)
  • Manage AOP budget, ensuring proper cost tracking, forecasting, and contingency utilization
  • Coordinate new scope estimates and ensure supporting documentation is provided
  • Deliver timely, accurate weekly and monthly reports
  • Participate in cost and schedule reviews, including Senior Leadership sessions
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting scope, cost, and schedule
  • Oversee integrated asset schedules, progress tracking, and review sessions
  • Set schedule compliance metrics

Qualifications
  • 10 years of project experience in project controls, preferably with an O&G operator
  • Expertise in planning, cost engineering, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Primavera, SAP, and other cost control software
  • Major project planning and offshore operations experience preferred
  • Ability to thrive in diverse, multi-disciplinary environments
