Job Summary: Reporting to the VP, Platform Services and Digital Infrastructure, the Senior Director of Cloud Infrastructure and Data Center Operations will oversee all aspects of Sysco's global data center operations, cloud management to include engineering, cost management, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud governance, and cloud migration/modernization initiatives. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, deep technical expertise, and a strategic vision to drive the organization's cloud strategy (public and private) and data center operations forward achieving efficient use of Sysco's Hybrid cloud infrastructure to deliver business value. Senior Director must be able to foster a collaborative working relationship with cybersecurity, other infrastructure functions, and various business partners across the organization delivering on our resilient, yet secure infrastructure strategy. Demonstrated success in managing a large (enterprise level) sophisticated cloud ecosystem, with intimate knowledge of cloud fundamentals and data center operations and their impact on our ability to grow and protect the Sysco Brand, our employees, and our customers. Qualified applicants should have a solid background in technology, governance models, and risk frameworks capable of leading Sysco's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) to drive global standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Cloud and Data Center technology strategy and roadmap - Develop the strategic plan for Sysco's hybrid cloud technology where technology advancement will deliver clear value to the business. Leverages innovative tools and processes to maintain project alignment with strategic objectives and principles. Engagement - Collaborate with business and Sysco Technology leaders, building relationships and partnerships to drive the appropriate level of engagement in technology initiatives. This includes developing Long Range Plans to drive forecasting of resources, finance, and tooling. Partner with the business to understand technology needs. Enable the business to work more collaboratively with Sysco Technology. Provide "Big Picture" narrative to the leadership team. Coach as required. Incident response - Managing day-to-day support of the cloud operations in their area with focus on continuous improvement, increased efficiency and reducing total cost of ownership. They are also responsible for managing significant incidents when they happen, focused on business engagement and communication via Incident Management Processes. Financial management - This role requires an active role in budgeting and planning both annually and Long-Range Planning (LRP). Focus on managing the Sysco Technology budget to ensure the function meets its financial commitments. Will also work with business leaders in budgeting and planning and be able to represent the business function during budgeting and project prioritization discussions. Linking consumption to business drivers and projects is critical. People management - Directly manages multiple cross-functional teams of Sysco engineers, solution architects, and third-party vendors. Also includes influencing and aligning other Sysco Technology (ST) teams and business functions, to manage and deliver technical support and solutions. Plays an active role in the broader leadership of the ST functions globally. Identify technology trends and determine the practical application of technology advancement in the business Enabling a 24x7x365 cloud infrastructure and data center operations organization with staff located in multiple global locations including Europe, N. America, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Defines and maintains critical cloud policies regarding SLA's, agreements with security, disaster recovery, acceptable use, data retention and other areas. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant technology experience. Education Preferred: Master Degree in Technology Management or relevant technology experience Experience Required: 7-10 years of cloud and infrastructure technology experience with the ability to mentor technical professionals Technical Skills and Abilities: Proven ability to lead a team to achieve defined goals. Ability to communicate concepts and plans by removing technical complex terms and language Solid understanding of skills required to deliver the team's service and ability to assess those skills in others Self-directed and motivated to work independently Intermediate project management skills Proven verbal, written and visualization communication skills demonstrated with people at the executive level and below Able to juggle multiple high-priority and critical initiatives at once Proven adaptability to change and comfort with ambiguity Expert collaborator with remote and cross-functional teams Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
