Description

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with experience in ERP for a 6-month contract that could be converted to direct employment with our Houston Metro client. This hybrid position requires multiple days per week of on-site work in downtown Houston at our client's site.

We are only looking for local candidates.

This Enterprise Application Services (EAS) position manages complex and high-visibility EAS-related projects. Our client's EAS application and systems are responsible for essential operations across 22 Departments. The services provided include voice and network, cyber-security, email and communication platforms, and shared enterprise applications used by all employees.

The Senior IT Project Manager, PMO, will lead project efforts utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodology to ensure that the project scope, budget, and timeliness are executed according to the project plan schedule and stakeholder expectations are managed.

Responsibilities include:

Advanced-level IT project manager, capable of managing the largest, most mission-critical enterprise technology projects.

Maintains customer expectations by delivering IT projects within the agreed upon scope, schedule, budget, and expected quality.

Defines project scope, objectives, and cost estimates in project lifecycle and definition documents.

Develops detailed project execution plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis of risks and issues.

Communicates and meets with stakeholders and vendors to ensure awareness of project status, risks, and issues.

Possesses strong technology solutions within testing environments.

Demonstrates excellence in planning and execution.

Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

Provides technical and analytical guidance to more junior PMO team members.

Oversees, inspects, and guides PMO team members in project activities.

Recommends and takes action to manage the analysis and solutions of problems.

Controls expenditures by gathering and submitting budget information; scheduling expenditures; monitoring variances; implementing corrective actions.

Develop, present, and oversee financial budgets using spreadsheets to align with project and department goals.

Ensures knowledge transfer with stakeholders during project and at closeout.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing system change management; configuration management; PMO performance analysis and governance processes; technical standards; methodology, tools, and templates; and project management information systems.

Contributes and promotes the client's processes, methodologies, and Project Management Playbook

Contributes to division, department, and client goals by performing related responsibilities as needed.

Experience using ServiceNow (or equivalent PPM Tool) preferred

Requirements:

8-10 years of experience managing large, mission-critical enterprise technology projects utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Maintains customer expectations by delivering IT projects within the agreed upon scope, schedule, budget, and expected quality.

Possesses exceptional communications skills, both verbal and in written artifacts and able to work collaboratively with others to achieve success.

Defines project scope, objectives, and cost estimates in project lifecycle and definition documents.

Develops detailed project execution plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis of risks and issues.
