Our long-term client relationship with Boeing Corporation has led to a need for a Software Developer on the Boeing Engineering, Technical, and Services (BETS) contract in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:
The Software Developer will:
Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. The selected candidate will help design, develop, implement, and test application software for the Software Development and Integration Laboratory (SDIL) operations tools and related projects in support of the International Space Station (ISS) program.
Interface with contributing team members and several other teams, support ad-hoc troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution and develop solutions to problems including writing dedicated test procedures.
Assist with the development and documentation of software requirements.
Design computer platforms and associated software architectures.
Utilize software development tools and integrated infrastructure components.
Implement individual code modules and integrate into complex software systems.
Support resolution of software integration issues and product anomalies.
Research basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.
Prepare technical and managerial reports, including feasibility and desirability of extensions or modifications to existing software and procedures.
Make decisions, initiate actions, and implement solutions regarding difficult software problems.
Build and deliver major releases.
Work with peers and other departments concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems.
Investigate new technologies.
Work on both new development and sustaining sides of the assigned project.
Coach/mentor lesser experienced employees, coworkers, and interns.
Perform all other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or any equivalent combination of education/experience.
Proficient in C++ and Java, familiar with HTML, CSS, Python, C#, Lua, JavaScript, and Python.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Education or experience in web application/database and/or realtime system development.
Programming experience/knowledge using C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC and jQuery, as well as C programming.
Strong command of web application fundamentals including HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, with ability to troubleshoot and debug advanced scenarios involving front and backend code.
Experience with relational database development including SQL and data model design is highly desired.
Experience with MySQL/Maria or other relational databases.
Experience with Git version control is a plus.
Experience in software engineering is desired.
Able to work under general direction and interface directly with users, customers, or other stakeholders to facilitate requirements definition and iterate designs.
Candidates should have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability and desire to work in a team environment.
Essential Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
