The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the process optimization efforts of the Competence Center Process Transformation Department. This support includes process documentation such as SOPs, reference overview documentation, and training material. This role is a developmental opportunity for someone looking to gain end-to-end process understanding, along with master data and configuration items that drive sustained improvement results. To be successful, this role will lead the embedment of a growth and continuous improvement mindset within the organization valid for their stream of scope.
What You'll Get to Do
• Leads improvement initiatives on simple to moderately complex problems or analysis.
• Supports visibility and alignment of business priorities and delivery of measurable value to the customer.
• Documents as-is processes across the organization.
• Assists in the facilitation of standardization efforts across North America.
• Leads the completion of business requirements and training documentation.
• Leads the development of user testing scenarios and scripts.
• Supports the facilitation and management of user testing and training sessions.
• Identify and suggest master data or technical configuration changes to drive process improvement.
• Works with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Identifies risks associated with change and develops appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Develops departmental requirements and articulates requirements to source of change.
• Recognizes, resolves and/or escalates potential issues and challenges.
• Provides post-change support to the department to ensure efficient processes after implementation of initiatives.
• Drives internally generated initiatives focused on increasing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
• Identify automation opportunities for RPA and lead implementation efforts.
• Ensure feedback of employees who utilize relevant systems daily is taken into consideration.
• Quote-to-Cash
o Knowledge of processes within the Quote-to-Cash stream such as Quoting, Contract Management, Pricing, Sales Order Management, and Billing Prep.
o Familiarity with using management tools within the above-mentioned processes to support decision making and business reviews.
• Supply Chain
• Knowledge of processes within the Supply Chain stream such as Dispatch, Scheduling, Demand Management, and Truck Allocations.
• Familiarity with using management tools within the above-mentioned processes to support decision making and business reviews.
Essential Experience and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Process Management, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience process optimization, operations, or business management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly strong in Excel.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Experience in the heavy building materials industry; advantage if applicant has ready-mix, aggregates, or hot-mix asphalt experience.
• Focused on results, controls, process efficiency and standardization.
• Business process design and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills
• Lean six sigma certification.
• Knowledge of global accounting or controlling experience.
• Experience with SAP, specifically in the Sales and Distribution module.
• Prior experience with system implementation within the building materials industry a plus.
• Familiar with basic accounting processes a plus.
