Responsibilities:
Supervises the activities of the MOC Controllers to ensure appropriate and timely decisions are made concerning aircraft maintenance operations and to ensure MOC functions are properly accomplished.

Chairs the morning and evening maintenance conference calls as required per MOCPM 5-02.

Coordinates with supervision to ensure departmental needs are met, including training and staffing requirements.

Monitors, reports and maintains the Sabre data base for company maintenance operations.

Promptly notifies appropriate maintenance management of any incident or accident involving company equipment or personnel.

Performs Supplemental Assignments as contained in MOCPM 5-04. Performs other duties as described throughout this manual and the GPM.

Must work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to read, understand, explain, and enforce Company policies, procedures, and regulations.

This job is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing. Your previous employers will be contacted to verify if you had any DOT drug violations and/or refusals to test for drugs or alcohol in the previous two year period. Your DOT required urine specimen will be tested for the following substances: Cocaine, Marijuana, PCP, Amphetamines and Opiates.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements

Must have FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant Licenses.

A minimum of two years of MOC experience preferred.

Previous supervisory experience and knowledge of AA budgeting, policies, and procedures desired.

Strong interpersonal, communication and PC skills.

Ability to manage management, non-management and contract labor work groups.

Ability to concurrently handle multiple responsibilities.

Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.

When applicable, may be required to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends.

Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.

Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.

Pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated drug testing requirements, including verification with previous employers regarding DOT drug and alcohol violations and/or refusal to test. Applicants are required to fill out "Department of Transportation Testing Inquiry" form which provides authorization for release of records from previous employers.
