Overview:
For over 25 years, G&A Partners has been helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses, take better care of their employees, and enjoy a higher quality of life by providing proven HR solutions and technology. G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Estimator to join its team in Katy, TX.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related documents, calculating project costs, and building project estimates

Additionally, the estimator will work with project managers to ensure awarded project cost is managed against the estimated value.

Create scope of work/change orders when projects run over initial budgets

Create estimates through Xactimate software

Submit residential projects to insurance providers for approval as well as supplemental claims

Build and maintain long term relationships with key customers

Compute cost factors and prepare estimates by planning, producing a work schedule

Prioritizes and plans work activities; plans for additional resources; develops realistic action plans

Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction

Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

Understand cost trend and price volatility of parts, material, resources

Qualifications:
5-7 years' experience in estimating large residential projects

Experience with room additions, remodels, restoration and new construction

Experience working with insurance providers on remodel and restoration projects

Familiar with insurance policies and coverages

Must be proficient with Xactimate estimating software

Strong understanding of construction processes

Self-motivated, self-starter who demonstrates the ability to manage time effectively

Proficient computer skills, knowledge and efficiency

Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications to evaluate and comprehend the total scope of work required

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to meet critical deadlines

Customer oriented

Must have a good attitude and client centric
