Job description

Project Field Engineer II

Location: Dallas FW Area

C2H: 4mo C2H

Contract Pay Rate: $44 -$48 Hourly

Conversion salary: $95,000-$105,000 Annually

Commercial AV Integration - New Construction

Must be able to speak to experience working with the following:

  • Exposure to audio DSP writing

  • Fluent in Video over IP

  • Fluent in network config and trouble shooting

  • Fluent in Crestron control systems

What are the primary responsibilities this person will have on your team/ what does a day in the life of this person look like?

  • Not a desk job

  • Boots on the ground - running the project site hands-on/ (On-site/Technical Project Manager)

  • Once assigned the project they go to the client site daily and on occasion will be in the office for kick off or project prep and wrap up - project close

  • Able to give constructive and direct instructions with the respect and understanding of their site team and the programmers and the PM

  • When they are asking for stuff or needing things fixed or the cables need to be neat- they should communicate this without conflict

  • Create punch list to ensure that each person or team on the site knows what they need to be doing and what's next

  • QA/QC - making sure everything works and making sure that everything is neat (cable management, rack set up, etc)

Soft Skills?

  • Communicate with clients and training customers at the end of the project on using the tech in the immersive room

  • Audio video control and networking

  • telling the PM what is missing on the site and what they need during the install- and what they need to stay on time

  • communicate issues or anything effective to staff, management and clients

  • Able to communicate to their audience effectively - if they are non tech not talking to them where they don't understand or talking to them and making them feel "less than"

non-negotiable skills this person MUST have to be considered?

  • 5+ years in AV industry

  • CTS Cert - or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

  • Read drawings

  • Prior experience working with programming - able to explain to a programmer issues "when I push this button it doesn't do XYZ- and the client needs it to do XYZ- and this is what I think is wrong"

Nice to have?

  • AI camera experience

  • Deep experience with networking

  • One beyond systems

  • ACPR

  • QSC and Biamp / QSC and Creston / QSC and CTS-I or CTS-D

Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
