Title: Azure Systems Administrator

Location: Hybrid role in either McKinney, TX or Westmont, IL (3 days a week in the office)

Duration: Six months + contract (Potential for contract to hire)

Compensation: Between $50 to $65 hourly

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Summary

My client is a leading provider of collision repair services in the United States. We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to be responsible for deploying, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Azure services. The purpose is to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud-based applications and resources. You will work closely with our IT support, security, and operations teams to develop and implement solutions that meet the needs of our business.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in Azure administration and security, with experience managing and maintaining Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, and storage, to ensure reliability and performance. In addition, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you could expect your primary tasks to include:

Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure solutions to support the company's business needs.

Manage and maintain Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, and storage, to ensure reliability and performance.

Plan and execute cloud migration projects, including moving on-premises workloads to Azure.

Monitor and optimize Azure resources for cost efficiency and performance.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT support, security, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.

Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud resources and data.

Help manage Provisioning of users via automation tools.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, with a focus on Azure cloud services.

Strong experience with Azure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and other services.

Experience with cloud migration projects and hybrid cloud environments.

Familiarity with cloud security best practices and tools.

Knowledge of automation and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Desirable Skills:

Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).

Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong communication and leadership skills to manage projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate effectively with other teams.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
