Do these qualities resonate with you? We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for providing customers with the above mentioned experience, in addition to ensuring the restaurant exceeds performance standards, while growing and developing your Team.

This position is for a pool of applicants, with the location to be determined in the McAllen area

Responsibilities:

Lead and direct the work of the Management team including scheduling, assigning responsibilities and setting expectations

Manage performance of the Management team, including performance evaluations, coaching and accountability

Plan and implement weekly, monthly and yearly financial budgets

Hire, train, retain, and develop Team Members to take on larger roles

Drive Guest engagement within the four walls of the restaurant while developing relationships within the community

Drive business results by utilizing KUMORI/MORI's systems to effectively control costs

Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties

Keep records required by government agencies regarding sanitation or food subsidies

Maintain food and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records.

Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner

Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.

Role model and hold Team Members accountable to operational and quality standards

Foster open communication between Team Members and Management team

Influence Team Member behaviors by championing change and restaurant initiatives

Communicate and embody KUMORI/MORI culture

Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs

Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations

Reach KPI goals - Inventory control, cost control, overtime control

Builds diversity, equity, and inclusion as part of our culture; celebrates Team Members' differences as they make us stronger

Assisting other locations when needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Management or related fields are preferred Minimum of three (3) years of restaurant management experience, experience running shifts without supervision
Required to work a minimum 5 day workweek including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
Knowledge of interviewing and selection practices
Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic accounting and computer skills
Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
Problem solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at KUMORI/MORI restaurants.
